Welcome! I'm Dr. Doireann Renzi.

I’m an educator, researcher, and speaker focused on teaching and learning in higher education.

​

My work explores how teaching shapes student engagement, belonging, and learning. In my own courses, I examine the role of societal institutions in shaping learning and teach statistics as a powerful tool for translating knowledge.

​

I also work with educators and institutions through speaking engagements, workshops, and faculty development initiatives to address emerging challenges in higher education, strengthen teaching practice, and build engaging learning environments where students thrive.

Originally from Cork, Ireland, I now live in the United States. Outside of work I enjoy yoga, cheering for the Irish rugby team, and drinking a hot mug of tea with my husband and our cats.
