As a passionate educator with over a decade of experience, I've dedicated my career to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments.
I am the assistant director of faculty initiatives at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarships at Georgetown University. Originally from Cork, Ireland, I obtained a Ph.D. in Education and Human Development from the University of Maryland with a particular focus on the impacts of poverty, culture, and cooperative communication on language development and learning. Furthermore, my postdoctoral training was grounded in faculty development and higher education administration

In my current work, I prioritize interactive and scenario-based learning and creating classes in collaboration with students. I have worked on faculty development with hundreds of faculty, including University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business.

I am passionate about supporting faculty in reaching their pedagogical goals and creating meaningful learning experiences for all of their students including designing engaging classes, and how to meaningfully leverage feedback. I also loves utilizing my research and analytical skills to drive evidence-based curriculum and course design improvements.

Outside work, I enjoy practicing yoga, shouting in support of the Irish rugby team, and nursing a hot cup of tea at home with my husband and our cats.
